Plot
If you talk about the story of this film, Sweety is a young Punjabi girl in the film, which is played by Sonam Kapoor. Who lives in a Traditional Punjabi family. And Sweety's father's role is by Anil Kapoor.
However, Sweety harbors a secret close to her heart; she is a lesbian in love with another woman, and ultimately fears the truth that her true love might not find acceptance in her family and society.
Review and Rating
It’s very very clear from the trailer that the star of the movie is not Rajkummar or any of the other guys. It will be Sonam Kapoor.When I had first heard of this movie I was sure it was gonna be another generic rom-com but the trailer proved that there is nothing generic about this movie. Infact it seems they have picked a pretty controversial topic especially for a commercial Hindi Movie. I hope they are braced for the shitstorm that’s definitely headed for them.
I am finding it a little hard to believe that so many people believe that the reason for calling this an “unusual” story is that it’s a love story between a Muslim Guy(Rajkummar) and a non-Muslim girl(Sonam). Are these people watching a different version of the trailer?
Now, in the interest of not bursting the bubble for these people, I will refrain from explaining the story myself but see the trailer again or read tweets or the comments on the YouTube video because it’s pretty clear in all those mediums what the movie is about.
